FROM THE ARCHIVE
A client relationship should work like a partnership.
Shared responsibility changes the quality of the conversation.

At Genellipse, I want our relationships to be built around a shared business purpose. A contract defines important obligations, but a productive partnership also requires openness about uncertainty, honest feedback, and a willingness to learn together. That is how I want us to approach client work.
Put the business problem on the table
The starting conversation should include the people who experience the difficulty, not only those purchasing the technology. Ask what makes the work hard, what has already been attempted, and what constraints cannot be ignored. A partner should be comfortable discovering that the first proposed solution needs to change.
Make responsibilities mutual and visible
Technology teams need timely access to the right expertise and appropriately governed information. Business teams need understandable plans, transparent risks, and a clear route for raising concerns. Both sides should know who makes a decision and how a disagreement will be resolved. These are practical arrangements that protect the quality of the work.
Review progress without theatre
A partnership review should discuss evidence, unfinished problems, and what has been learned. It should be possible to stop a weak idea without treating that decision as a failure of the relationship. My standard is whether we can have a difficult conversation early enough to improve the outcome. Trust grows when both sides can see the work clearly and share responsibility for moving it forward.
How Genellipse can help
Genellipse can begin a partnership with a shared discovery process: define the problem, identify the business and technology owners, and agree on a practical first scope. Our services span consulting, data, AI, digital transformation, and security, allowing the discussion to follow the need. Progress reviews can then connect delivery evidence to the agreed business purpose.
