ITC Vegas, Day 1: AI takes centre stage—and the conversations become practical

A positive first day: product demonstrations to 13 companies and investors, five follow-up meetings arranged, and strong interest in actuarial AI and Cortex AI.

Our first day at ITC Vegas was positive and productive. AI was at the centre of the event, and for Genellipse, the strongest opportunity was to connect that energy with the complex work insurance organizations need to improve.

A productive first day

We demonstrated our products to 13 companies and investors, with particular interest in our actuarial AI approach and Cortex AI platform. We have already arranged five follow-up meetings, with a busy schedule of further conversations planned for Day 2.

I welcome that interest. The next step is to turn each conversation into a clear understanding of the organization’s priorities, the systems it operates and the outcomes it wants to achieve.

Why actuarial AI deserves attention

Actuarial work connects assumptions, policyholder behaviour, financial obligations and long-term uncertainty. Improving that work requires more than producing calculations faster. It requires helping professionals investigate results, challenge assumptions and understand how changes affect the business.

Our approach brings AegisNow’s insurance and actuarial capabilities into that discussion. The opportunities include preparing data for analysis, investigating valuation movements, comparing scenarios and assembling evidence for professional review.

For example, when an insurer sees an unexpected movement in its liabilities, the useful question is what caused it. Was it a change in experience, assumptions, economic conditions or the underlying data? AI can support that investigation, while qualified actuarial professionals retain responsibility for the methods, judgments and conclusions.

That combination of analytical capability and professional accountability is central to how I believe actuarial AI should develop.

Cortex AI: making agentic AI manageable across the enterprise

Cortex AI also attracted considerable attention during our first day.

As organizations explore AI agents, they need a practical way to build, deploy and govern them. An individual agent may support a defined task. Several agents working together can support a more complex process. In either case, the organization needs clear permissions, integration with its existing systems, human approval where required and visibility into what happened.

Cortex AI provides the platform for that operating approach. Our conversations with prospective partners can explore how agents fit their workflows, how existing agents can be brought under governance, and how API or MCP connections can support controlled access to enterprise systems.

The business value comes from making the complete process more effective: reducing repetitive preparation, improving access to relevant information and giving specialists more time to address difficult cases.

How Genellipse helps turn interest into delivery

Our starting point is a business problem with a named owner and measurable acceptance criteria.

For an insurance partner, that might be an actuarial review, a policy-administration bottleneck or a recurring data-reconciliation task. Genellipse can bring together AegisNow, Cortex AI and GeneData, alongside our advisory and engineering services, to assess the workflow and design an appropriate solution.

We work with the partner to establish the current baseline, identify integration requirements, define security and approval controls, and agree how progress will be measured. A focused MVP can target delivery within six weeks where scope, data access and approvals permit.

Our responsibility continues through implementation and review. I want every partnership to produce results the organization can understand, operate and improve.

FROM PERSPECTIVE TO PRACTICE

Looking ahead to Day 2

Five follow-up meetings give us a productive starting point, and further meetings are already scheduled for Day 2.

If you are at ITC Vegas, I would welcome the opportunity to connect. Whether your priority is actuarial AI, insurance modernization, governed agents or a stronger data foundation, bring us the business challenge you want to solve.
