FROM THE ARCHIVE
An AI service must work in the user’s language.
Translation quality is part of the business experience.

A multilingual interface can open a service to more people, but changing the words is only part of the work. I want us to consider whether a person can understand the action, the consequence, and the route to help in the language they choose.
Test meaning in the actual task
A term that reads naturally in one setting can be ambiguous in another. Insurance, finance, and compliance language deserve particular care. Review complete journeys with people who understand both the language and the business context. A translated button may be correct while the instruction beside it still leaves the user uncertain.
Evaluate the difficult cases by language
If AI prepares or interprets information, assess its behavior on the languages and document types the service will encounter. An overall result can conceal a weaker experience for one group of users. Consider how a person will request clarification, correct a misunderstanding, or move to an appropriate human channel.
Include language in service ownership
Changes to a product need to reach each language version. Someone must own terminology, review, and the treatment of new content. At Genellipse, our multilingual website also reminds us that language support is a continuing responsibility. The business aim is consistent understanding and access. It should be possible for a visitor or employee to complete the intended task without having to guess what a translated instruction was meant to say.
How Genellipse can help
Genellipse can help design and integrate multilingual digital journeys, with evaluation criteria for comprehension, navigation, and recovery from errors. Our AI and digital teams can support testing across the intended languages and document types. Specialist language review and business approval should be included in the delivery scope for important terminology and consequential user decisions.
