Insurance, reinsurance, and actuarial operating context: connect policy, claims, financial, and modeling workflows within the agreed implementation scope.
InsuranceInsurance operations
Long-lived books contain product variations, inconsistent historical records, and embedded rules. Moving everything at once can expose teams to reconciliation failures and disruption to policyholder service.
Solution blueprint: implementation is scoped with your team. The workflow below describes an engagement approach; it is not evidence of a completed customer deployment or a guaranteed return.
FROM PROBLEM TO PROCESS
Profile and reconcile a selected book before migration.
Map product rules and balances to the target operating model.
Run parallel validation and controlled cohort cutovers, with evidence for each decision to retire a legacy function.
Genellipse maps the business rules and source systems, configures the agreed capabilities, and validates the workflow with the people who will operate it. Existing systems and supported interfaces determine the integration approach.
Insurance, reinsurance, and actuarial operating context: connect policy, claims, financial, and modeling workflows within the agreed implementation scope.
Data foundation: connect approved sources, prepare governed datasets, track lineage and quality, and support repeatable analysis and reporting.
Assurance workflow: connect requirements, controls, owners, review tasks, and evidence so responsible specialists can assess and approve the work.
VALUE TO MEASURE
Reduce the ongoing cost of duplicated systems only when functions can actually be decommissioned. Include data remediation, parallel operations, training, and rollback readiness in the investment case.
Agree definitions, data sources, and an observation period before the MVP. Compare similar work, include exception handling and quality review, and subtract implementation and ongoing operating costs.
A current-state workflow map, data and interface assessment, configured MVP, evaluation evidence, and a phased delivery recommendation. Agree the output, acceptance criteria, operating owner, and improvement measures before extending the scope.
BUILD YOUR BUSINESS CASE
Compare keeping the current system with a phased transition. Include the full legacy running cost during parallel operation and the interfaces retained after shutdown. The model assumes the new service runs from month one. It shows undiscounted costs, not a forecast or net present value.
ILLUSTRATIVE SCENARIO
Baseline cost = 36 × current monthly cost. Proposed cost = implementation + 36 × new monthly cost + parallel months × current monthly cost + remaining months × retained monthly cost + decommissioning at the start of the first month after parallel operation. When parallel operation lasts all 36 months, decommissioning falls outside this horizon. No discounting, inflation, growth, or capacity benefit is included.
All inputs are illustrative, not industry benchmarks. Currency selection changes labels without converting values. Validate your baseline, delivery costs, timing, and assumptions before an investment decision.
